Adult with Asperger's Syndrome/Autism (High-Functioning). I am retired on SSDI, after multiple vocational failures over the past 31 years. Never became independent in adulthood. Still live in Family home with my elderly Dad & younger "normal" brother. As an Asperger's Syndrome/Autistic, I have several "Comorbid" conditions, Unipolar Depression, Dyspraxia, Alexithemia, & Neuromuscular Hypotonia/lower body (leg) neuromuscular weakness. Recently went "Quadropedal" & use Loftstrand Crutches when not @ home, for ambulating long distances or long periods of time, that I keep behind the seats of my pickup truck. Around home I simply "lean on things", & have grreat difficulty ascending/descending stairs. My lower body totally feels like heavy Uranium/Lead, & walking is difficult for me. I am also totally urinary incontinent & I have to wear diapers. I also experience limited fecal continence. TYring hard to remain mobile, & not be a couch potato. I am debating whether to be prescribed leg braces.
