About Me

Hello all I Rainey . I was born and raised in Connecticut. I was stricken with Polio a week before my third birthday a present to last a lifetime . I did well for myself after many operations { nine } I was able to walk with a long leg brace and crutches. The last few years I have been in a wheelchair, big adjustment for me, my shoulders had enough abuse and were never meant to be legs.I am also feeling many side affects from Post Polio Syndrome. As we all know life goes on and we deal with it ...I am a very positive upbeat person for I never let my disability define the woman I am . I also enjoy sports I have a mad passion for soccer and football. My life dream is to someday ice skate lol. I have had many blessing as well in my life , I adopted two wonderful daughters from India... their my world , my family is very important to me and their smiles are priceless.I been blessed with two angels from above . My family and friends have been there for me offering support .I love humor I smile and laugh out loud everyday of my life . I have a much slower life now enjoying the simple things ..good sunset, nice nature walk ! { Roll } Life has a lot beauty to offer , as they say we need to stop and smell the roses. I have a disability it does not have me, it never has never will ! People may not remember exactly what you did , or what you said ~ but ~ they will always remember how you made them feel .
