About Me

My name is Alex. I am here because I have Schizo-affective disorder, learning disabilities and a hearing impairment. I have been working at a Retail Pharmacy in New Jersey. When I am not at work or school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and girlfriend. I love photography and creative writing, as well as outdoor recreation and listening to music. I listen to everything from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon," to Marylin Manson, to folk music, to a whole lot of indie pop and rock. I joined Disaboom because I have learning disabilities and a major mental illness; and in part to learn how to better myself and others, and connect with other people who have disabilities.
