About Me

I honestly hate writing my "bio". I've always felt that if you want to know about me, don't be afraid and go ask. As much as I'm an internet obsessed person, I still feel it to be pretty impersonable (is that a word? It's underlined so I know I spelled it wrong at the very least! lol) But, while I encourage anyone to ask about me more than just sit and read about me (isn't that how we all get to know each other?) here is a quick rundown of me from A-Z (me from A-Z...I'm aware that rhymes and loving the fact). If you haven't guessed, I have a bad sense of humor. Not a lack of one, just a corny sense of humor that makes people laugh and most others (including my wife) roll their eyes. I believe that laughter is the best medicine, and while I'll admit I'm not always the cheery ball of sunshine I'd love to be every day, my life wouldn't be quite the same if I couldn't find humor in random and unexpected places. I was born with Cerebral Palsy, and through a strong family base, great doctors/friends, and the grace of God, I've overcome just about every obstacle I've set my mind out to remove. I'll admit that the last decade or so only saw me tearing off the shackles that were my AFO braces and walking without them, only to be better off (despite my lifelong assessment by doctors). I'm a drummer in a band (www.BareBonesBand.com shameless plug) and having CP does pose some challenges, but it always provides a lot of inspiration for more things to overcome. In the past 2 years (as of 2009 anyway) my life has new inspiration from me marrying a wonderful woman who has more experience to understanding me as a disabled person than I could have hoped for, even though she herself is not disabled), we bought our first house and with that I'm learning to fix more than I break around here in all its maintenance, and in the next few years I hope to become a father. Most recently I've decided that I'm going to put the pedal to the floor and take care of a lot of things I've been neglecting, so I'm working out, seeing a physical therapist (that one is LOOOOONG over due), and just living each day with an increased sense of shear will to be better than I've ever been.
