About Me
Currently my life is now dealing with life on SSD and still having no medical coverage. I have what they call Hypeflexability Syndrome (I have the RA blood factors but not RA) I get the pain and repeated tendonitis that has lead to a ruptured Achilles tendon (left side) but a great doctor made me a new one out of "stuff" in my own leg. Now the right ankle is acting like the left did the year before it blew which really is a worry for me.
Apparently because I work hard at having a positive attitude I annoy people who think I am sugar coating life. I’m not here to play “I’m more (or less) handicapped then you are” with anyone. Life is what you make it no matter if you are able-bodied or handicapped. I personally know quadriplegics who have a more meaningful life then most fully able-bodied people. Attitude is EVERYTHING in making a difference in the life you have, able-bodied or handicapped.
Currently I am a volunteer. I do Troop Support...from Friday Flag waves on BayShore with the Troop Support Alliance to gathering donations for the Haley House Fund's Wounded Warriors and families to needs the Recreational and Occupational Therapy crews have at Haley VA's Poly-trauma and SCI units. I also help out where I can with some family groups and my Chaplains from CENTCOM and SOCOM based at MacDill AFB.
