So, I'm going to Indiana in March, and there is a chance it may still be fairly cold there, possibly with snow. It obviously gets colder there than here, so I'm not quite sure what to expect, and it's too early to know for sure what the weather will be like. Regardless, I thought the other day about gloves. I have never been able to wear them, obviously, because there's too many finger spaces and I don't know what to do with them. Mittens are just aggrivating because they limit the use of your hands. Is there any ideas yall can help me with in case it should be really cold there? I was wondering if I could have a seamstress make them, maybe get a pattern of my hand by tracing it and sewing them? I don't know. I'm kind of lost here. Help?

A talented knitter could probably help you out.  You can believe it will still be cold there in March!  Brrrr...I shivered just thinking about it!   I don't know what would possess a Florida girl to leave this state one of the most pleasant months of the year.  Sure it would be nice to escape in August ... but March is sheer delight!

Going to see my best friend I grew up with that I haven't seen in 7 years and just got back in contact with. He drives semis now, but is coming home so my mom and I can visit, because our moms were best friends also. We've known each other since we were about 4. Needless to say, I'm soooooo excited!!

Or, how about a faux fur muff? Kinda like "olden days," when people wore them while ice skating and going places in their horse-drawn buggies...could be fun!

Thanks for the idea, but I really want something I can wear and still have full use of my hands. I only have 3 fingers on each hand, but I have complete use of them. To wear someting like mittens or a muff would make it hard to keep my hands warm and still do things.
