 My name is Chris Tynan and I just moved to Napa California.  I'm a C4 quadriplegic 11 years and counting.  I'm a scholarship student with the Mouth and Foot Painters Association.  And Also Recently Joined the Napa SCI Network Which Is a Peer Group that is Really Starting to Work Toward Getting Our Local Disabled Community More Active.  We Want People Who Are Energetic and Stir Crazy and Tired of Laying up in Bed Playing on the Computer Every Day Because It's their Portal to the World.  We Want to Be Your Portal.  If you know of anybody in Napa County with a spinal cord injury or other neurological disorder please tell them to call me at 707-226-2570 or e-mail me at quadfatherc4@gmail.com.  We will be building a website soon in the Facebook page will be published within a week or so. we do not discriminateso all ages are welcome.

Hi Chris,

It's good to see your post in the forums!  As we discussed via e-mail, I'm going to create a group here on DisaboomLive for the Napa Spinal Cord Injury Network.  People will be able to join the group and share information about events and activities being organized.

I just wanted to thank you and the network's founder, Bill Iverson, for providing much needed community support to people with spinal cord injuries.  Local peer support groups play a huge role in connecting people with resources and, most importantly, other people.

Chris, what an awesome group you're starting out there. I'm not a quad, or even in a chair at all, but it's still a pretty cool thing to do. Hopefully it will motivate those who don't think there's more to their life than the bed to realizing they can still do so much. Being productive and successful and having a fullfilling life has nothing to do with how you do something or how much money you make while doing it. It's truly finding something you're passionate about and enjoy doing, if you ask me. This especially sounds like an excellent opportunity for young people to get involved in. Good luck!!

Hi Chris Welcome and I love art etc...

Art is a great Passion of mine   I  use my  Mouth for painting at times . Lately I been  interested in Trying the foot / Brush style . Often I will doodle with pens in my mouth or  pencil schetch at my desk .

Looking at  my art is is I call it Abstract . I got a drawer of paint brushes  but I am unschooled .  Still I admire all types of art .

I dont live near Calif wish I did this sounds fun .

hi chris, it's nice to meet you. if you have time, you, gypsy lady and anyone else should post your art work. i'de love to see it.

have you seen terrilous cartoon drawings? she does a great job and i love seeing her cartoons. good luck with your group.

i'm not an artist, but i took this picture with the bee in it yesterday& the sky. ( i hope it posts)
