I read that Obama plans to pay for healthcare reform by cutting 500 BILLION from Medicare's Advantage Plan. He claims this will not effect any benefits for those on Medicare. How is it possible to cut half a trillion dollars and not effect anyone? This seems beyond realistic. The more I'm hearing about healthcare reform, the less I like it. Speak up with info and opinions please, thanks! Stephen

Last Spring, I heard from his own mouth (Obama) via Town Hall Meeting (and local news) that he planned to cut Medicare Advantage plans. My health insurance at this time is considered to be one of these plans. I am very nervous about it. My plan includes medication coverage.....it's an HMO, so I have to have a referral from my GP to see a specialist, and I see several. Supposedly, this insurance will pay for my going to the Y for an arthritis exercise class my rhemutalogist has been pushing for me to attend for a couple of years now. If this is taken away, so will my access to this class. So called Medicare Advantage is minimal insurance in my opinion compared to the "Cadillac" private insurance I used to have....but those days are long gone! Will I be hurt or affected if it is cut? You bet! I'm not very happy about it.

Remember when President Obama started to outline his plans for his over throw of the nation's health care.  We had some pretty heated and lively discussions and debates around here.

Now, here we are with more and more details leaking out, the defenders of this idea seem to rolling off to the shadows. Why is no one here defending President Obama's idea now?  Where's Justin?  I miss him and left wing, moonbat ideas.  He defended them well.  I still don't agree with many of his points,  but it was always fun.
