You wanted to talk about love.   So, let's talk.   Maybe the question should be what's love?

To me it's many things.  It's the fact that she makes sure I have clean pants to wear to work.  She makes me dinner, not matter how tired she is.  She meets me at the finish line of a race with a cold beer, no matter how bad I did.  She encourages me in my wild hare brained ideas, even though she knows it's never going to work.   She always puts me first.

 

For her, I bought and old house that needs a ton of work, because it made her happy.  I gutted the dinningroom and built (buidling) new built in cabinets.  I drove for 15 hours so that she could spend time with her family Tennessee.  I make no decisions until I've figured out how it would affect her.   I always put her first.

 

Bottom line. Mutual respect and putting each other before yourself.  That's Love.

 I should write a book.

What is love to you?

Write a book????    I think you should also be giving classes!!!!!

 

If you have free time then could you also set up a nice way for gimpi girls like me to meet someone nice who thinks like that???  You have no idea how rare it is to find anyone who thinks beyond themselves to others these days.

I think the real problem these days is that people are just plain to selfish.  Kids are not raised to give of themselves.  One example. Seperate bank accounts.  That's fine when you're just room mates, but not as a married couple.  Once you say "I do", it's no longer your's and mine.  It's "ours".     It's time to grow up and be a team.

You are so right. Then there is the whole if I get married that person will make me happy... when they aren't happy with themselves at all and this other person will wave a magic wand to make life perfect.

 

I honestly can't imagine getting married  but it would be nice to just have a guy friend to call when I need help with something or would like to go out and do something as simple as seeing the fireworks on the 4th.

 

Since I got hurt most everyone I know went away with my old job. I really Thank God I watched too many reruns of MacGyver because when I couldn't walk I used that as inspiration on how to get my trash out, my groceries in and my clothes washed. It might have taken me most of the day but I did it and I am still doing it now just a little bit faster.

 

Write that book and set up some classes!

We need more of you good guys out there!
