Thanks! I do needed to be reminded sometimes that I’m not alone in the disability rights fight. I know I’m not but still it’s good to be reminded. That’s why I start trouble on here from time time. stir things up. I want to see how many of you do advocacy work. Hehehe!  I even think there should be a ‘what have a done towards advocacy lately’ thread. then I really wouldn’t feel alone!

AW – I’m glad you talked to that manager. Reminded me of… Years ago I noticed Wendy’s restaurants were putting in handicap accessible booths. A few years went by and my local Wendy’s still did not have one. So I wrote a letter and soon after they put one in! that was a great feeling!

but yeah i run into that type of situation you are talking about all the time. i'm a fighter...just who i am but i must admit when i run into those situations i think why me, was i really the first, or not and the first didn't speak up about it?

that what's running in my head and maybe that's a little bit why i stir up trouble on here.

Swan- what you said remind me of this. I have it in a frame in my room.

Blondie, I am not much of a beach person but I liked that little story.  It just goes to show that one person can make a difference in their own way.
