    Hi Disaboom Community!

    The Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, in collaboration with McMaster University, is currently seeking research participants for a study involving wheelchair mobility in people living with spinal cord injury.  This study hopes to enforce the importance of wheelchair skills and how these skills can help to positively influence a person’s level of physical activity and community participation.

     

    What participants will do:

    1) Engage in a wheelchair skills test (with trained supervision)

    2) Complete some questionnaires regarding well-being and physical activity

    3) Have an activity monitor (the size of a wristwatch) attached to the frame of your wheelchair for 7 days.  This can be easily removed and will not damage your chair in any way!

     

    Attached is a flyer/advertisement and a letter of information regarding this study. Participants will be reimbursed $25.00.
