As you might have read on the Facebook or Twitter page
for the 2010 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships, we are looking for
guest bloggers for our blog ( http://www.2010wwrc.com/blogs).
We're searching for people who can provide a behind-the-scenes look at
events/issues leading up to the 2010 World Wheelchair Rugby
Championships and we need your help.
You don't have to be an athlete or coach who
will actually be participating at the World Championships to write for us. We're also
looking for volunteers, recreational athletes, retired athletes,
support staff and people trying the sport for the first time: anyone
with a story to tell. Our goals for the blog are to a) provide a forum
for stories not told in conventional media sources b) give athletes an
opportunity to promote themselves and connect with a fan base, c)
connect the international wheelchair rugby community and d) provide
fans of the game with a behind-the-scenes peek into the sport.
Basically,
bloggers will write brief posts on subjects of interest to them. You
can write one post or many. These posts can be directly related to the
World Wheelchair Rugby Championships (lead-up events, training, etc),
be about general issues relating to wheelchair rugby (sports science in
wheelchair rugby, classification system, etc) or can just relate an
anecdote or story relating to wheelchair rugby (a volunteer writing
about why she volunteers, a retired vet discussing changes in the sport
over the last 30 years, even anecdotes about training mishaps or funny
travel stories). We're also interested in re-posting articles you might
have written for a newsletter or even your own blog.
If you
would like more information, please contact arley@2010wwrc.com . You
can also get more information on our website (http://www.2010wwrc.com),
our Facebook page ('2010 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships') or our
Twitter site (@2010wwrc). We hope to hear from you soon!
