    Hi gypsylady,

I like orental food also, the fried meat and veggies and the steamed rice is so good. I know what you mean. It's been a long time since I cooked that. But just thinking about it makes me think of the smell of it and I can taste it. You made me hungry. LOL !

So what have you been up to lately and how is the weather there?  I haven't been up to much at all. The weather got colder here. But I like it. It's easier to sleep in cooler weathr for me.

Hi Everyone tonight I kind of had a  odd craving

I made approx 6 cups of   white long grained rice  added  chicken bullion to the rice water and  cooked the rice

Added  italian  seasoning to the rice

Then  cooked 2 lbs of  Medium shrimp and a bowl of butter on the side with garlic in the butter  ... It was great

This was a good quick dinner and it kind of reminded me of something I had at redlobster

The Rice was mild on my upset stomach

This whole  recipe for dinner took less than 1 hour to make it was filling and hearty

Thanks Breadpudding  This  type of talk is fun and nice to share

    Sincerely ;

    Gypsylady

     Hi Gypsyladey,

I made a delicouse Breadpudding dessert everyone enjoyed it and took some home.

    My Breadpuuding Recipe

1 loaf of white bread about 20 peices, leave out to get a little stale for about 1 hour you can use french bread or any bread of your choice but don't use Rye bread it won't mix right with the following ingredients.

    6 eggs whipped

    2 1/2 cups of milk

    1/2 cup of white sugar

1/3 cup of lite brown sugar

    1 tsp. of cinnomin

    1pinch of nutmeg

    1/3 tsp. ginger

2 handfulls of rasins, white or brown

3 tbsp. dark rum extract or real deal

    2 tsp. of vanella extract

Rip bread into peices, put in a buttered casserole dish or tin foil pan

beat all liquid ingredients together and add the dry ingredients, except for rasins

pour over the bread, and let sit

while it is sitting you can add the rasins

if you choose to make it more fancy you can add fresh or frozen strawberrys and blueberrys, and cut up pineapple and kiwi fruit cut into slices.

add all to top of mixture

bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on oven as each oven is different

take out when golden on top. Let sit. You can add powdered sugar to top if you like

right befor you serve. I like to top it with cool whip.

Hope some of you try it as it is so um, um, goood.

    Love Ya,

breadpudding                       LOL! now you know why that's my name on here

Hi Breadpudding and Everyone This Recipe is Salmon Based Smoker

Time is 1 hour to cook on a Smoker or  oven I prefer smoker .

I love  open fire cooking and Smoked Cooking it is a hobby of mine

Being I use a smoker alot  mesquite wood is my Favorite to smoke with

     **********************************************************

Bought a 1/2 slab of frozen Salmon and thawed it out

took a 24 inch piece of  alum wrap foil; and oiled it good  then placed  6 full lenghth scallions  on the oil then placed the Salmon Skin side down on the foil .

The Scallions are under the bottom of the fillet .

Cut lenghtwise a full middle slit in the Salmon fillet From Front to tail  and  added paprika down the slit middle line and then  parmesian cheeze As much as you want .

Placed 1/2 inch tomato cubes in the mid slit lenthwise diced this is fun

Drizzled oil on the salmon fillet

Then  sprinkled around the whole perimiter of the fillet  crushed red pepper

added 1 tiny can of  tomato paste basted on the whole salmon fillet and a dash of sugar on the whole fillet .

Wrap the foil now I fold over the  2 edges you can double wrap the aluminum foil if needed depending on size of salmon fillet .

Closed up the foil and put this huge salmon fillet on the smoker for 45 minutes

After 45 minutes of smoking  opened the foil and added mozerela slices all over the Salmon and Put back in the smoker 15 minutes more

After it was all  smoked cooked  I took it out and placed the Salmon on a  large plate for the people to cut off  their desired pieces

The Mozzerella made this dish extravagant

All done on a simple Smoker outside .

It is a fun outdoors ish Recipe I made up long ago one of my favorites .
