    I was doing some research for one of my classes on Down Syndrome and on one of the websites, they talked about how Toys-R-Us has a catalog specifically for differently abled children. Here is the link in case anyone is interested:

    I don't know what exactly is in the catalog, because I didn't look through it, but I figured anyone who was interested may want to take a peek.

    They've been putting it out for years and it's a good collection.  It's some of their regular toys, sorted out by skills they help develop, and with visibly disabled children as models.

     

    However I dream of the day when toy stores and manufacuters feature children with disabilities on their boxes and ads as a matter of course, rather than in a special catalogue.
