Blondieblue I do the same thing. This fast track is not so very fast and it sucks one has to in most cases hire an attorney to even get SSDI. They wanted to make sure no one was faking it so the GOP I think wrote in a few rules if I recall correctly.  But pretty much it is set up so you cannot have anything of value oh like a home to live in a car to drive and or and medical device, medication or ways to cope with a disability that may have happened all the sudden like illness or accident. But to bug whom you have elected these are real issues being looked at right now with the medical reform bill. Read it your self do not depend upon any party to give you correct information. Don’t know or want to read then ask who you elected how this health care reform is going to affect disability claims and disability income and demand a response from them that is what you elected them for. This is not a party response this is a information response with facts not  with party agendas.

"But to bug whom you have elected these are real issues being looked at right now with the medical reform bill." Say there Desan, you wouldn't happen to know what section of the bill it is in. I would really like to read it, as I've been very involved with my federal representation concerning homeownership, which I am an owner of, and the blantantly discriminative rules, and regulations that define how I'm supposed to enjoy the freedoms, and liberties, of an independent life.

i took this from a post i made in the begining of oct.

It is up to YOU to tell Congress Long-Term Services and Supports MUST be included in Health Care Reform. We urgently need a strong and visible presence on Capitol Hill of disability and aging community advocates to make sure Congress does not strip these provisions from the bill.

Join your fellow disability advocates to make sure the Community First Choice Option and the CLASS Act make it into the final health care reform bill.  Opponents of long term services and supports reforms are working hard against us!

    More about community first choice:
The Community First Choice (CFC) Option was proposed by Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) as a way to get the key provisions of the Community Choice Act in the health care reform bill.  The option would encourage states to provide Medicaid home and community based attendant services (rather than require them as the CCA would do). The CFC Option would be a major step in helping to end Medicaid's institutional bias.  The CFC Option is part of the Chairman’s Mark in the Senate Finance Committee health care reform bill that is currently being marked up.
The Community Living Assistance Supports and Services (CLASS) Act (also called the CLASS Plan) would create a national voluntary long term care insurance program.  It was developed to help people better prepare for their long term care needs and to help take pressure off of the Medicaid program.  The CLASS Act is in the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee's version of the health care reform bill.

Blondie as usual thank you for posting some additional information and just how one goes about getting what they think considered or at least recorded in to the records for the healthcare reform act. I at least have venues into putting my comments into the public record both locally and at a national level. I guess I am of the mind set you have to work within the system to effect change and when you know how it all works the process is not real hard.

Abram in answer to your questions you have to take personal responsibility to finding the answers you seek. You see those whom I elect to serve in DC represent the know of local concerns the people and the local economy, even the regional culture and can working with other of the same people that represent the people of their state and region and come together on the issues.(Note To background of my position: What I do not like currently is pretty much the media invention of the Tea Party pretty much made by the likes of Limbaugh, Palin, Beck whom all seem angry over lots of things most not even political. This Tea Party movement is nothing more then a far right agenda of invading local elections. Think not look at what happen in NY 23 district both parties and mostly middle of the road types hate carpetbaggers. For those younger here and others that do not know what a carpetbagger/tea party person is they are this. People that are not part of your community that come in during elections not know any of the local concerns and place their own candidates into the election process through intimidation and pretty much anger that is not apart of your community.)
Actually Abram I am a home owner outside the issues of Native American issues and their lands there is always debate there plus tribal rules and laws about land use. If this is an average everyday non native issue many local governments and counties are now very willing to go back and look at land use issues. I know this because of the nature of my profession that may include planning for sustainable use of all lands, even in a city I can now own a chicken coup, retain rain water and well outside I cannot run around butt naked because I well live across the street from a grade school and can understand how that might be a bad thing LOL as would be setting up a shooting range and or many things. All I can say is Being Free, having Liberties and Independent require for thought and working together taking personal responsibility as a community not doing my own thing because that’s what I feel like at the moment but working with all my neighbors. Your issues are not the same as mine and the community I live in.

Per the Desan, "Abram in answer to your questions you have to take personal responsibility to finding the answers you seek."

Not to worry Desan, I asked you out of courtesy, to a person I imagined would factually support claims with references. Of your self-proclaimed, "nature of my profession", combined with selection, personal discrimination of the Tea Party  movement sweeping the nation, I understand you for who you are. Accordingly, of my selection, my discrimination, I will pray for you, of my responsibility to the Truth I know.

As was expected the backward agenda of those who seek "change"(hope they can
live on change")has been exposed. Traditions, values, integrity, et al...have nothing to do with carpetbaggers, teabaggers,or any other baggers, people or parties are irrelavent to this issue...sigh....will wonders never cease. The pamphlet published by
Thomas Paine in 1776 entitled "Common Sense"delineated the need of the common people to watch over their choice of government, for power corrupts..absolute power corrupts absolutely. There is very little "common sense" in "Wishington,District of Crime" these days. I choose not to use a "lawyer"for several reasons, not the least of which is I have no respect for a so called "profession"that has produced the likes of
Al Gore,John Edwards,Arlen Specter,ad nauseam... I chose to do it the old fashioned
way, I read, studied and decided. What ever happened to a days wages for a days honest work? Was that too a victim of "Political Correctness" or Revisionist history?
Perhaps the Soviet Union foresaw the future when they said "We will take America
without firing a shot." Whether you support Demicans, Republicrats, Independents
?,or none of the aforementioned back patting, behind closed doors (No one knows what goes on behind closed doors) politicians. It was said best "Government is not
the answer to your problems..Government IS the problem... Since you already pay
the salaries of your representatives?...by all means use them!

"Since you already pay the salaries of your representatives?...by all means use them!"

Definately no problem, kordonblue, as I'm sure they no me well, along with the harrassment I've received from Chase bank, with phone calls, and threats, since missing a months mortgage payment. The results of disconnection of electric services, due to the oppressive, not by statute, PUCO regulations in Ohio. A situation that now has me being threatened to rent my home, instead of paying a mortgage for home ownership.

I've learned very well why Chase, immediately after filing for loan modification, raised my monthly payment amount by $45.00, and began receiving collection calls, many from overseas callers. My many contacts with federal representation, and Chase bank, has produced no assistance, while they wait, and "hope" to gain further control of my independence, and "change" America into their colony of prosperity. I'm in survival mode now, and the military taught me well, as well has the Truths of God, and Country. I will live free, and independently of the One Truth. I know it for a fact. I certainly will not live supporting, renting, from the Obamanation.
