Greetings from somewhere on Interstate 81 in Virginia.  Just passing some little village called Harrisburg.  We're on one of our yearly road trips to Tennessee to hang with the lovely and talented Amy's family for the 4th of July.  I drove through the night and heavy rain storms. Now Amy's had the wheel for the past 2 hours.  It's about 8:10 am and I think we're goning to pull off the road and get a couple hours nap at the next rest area.  We'll crash out in the rental (big gas guzzling SUV) and I'll take the wheel from there. 

I'll try to touch base as the road trip developes.  Maybe even post a picture or two.

We've crossed the line into Tennessee.  We're doing great on time.  Departed the Boston area at 11pm.  Crossed into Tennessee at 1:35pm the next day. With a 2 hour nap in the Virginia rest area.  So far 890 miles in under 13 hours. We're about 2 hours out from our destination.  A little burg known as Crossville.   No pictures yet. It's tough to load pics to the HP Mini while on the road.  I'll post what I can when I can.  And no. I'm not driving and posting.  Amy's driving right now.  I'm suppose to be napping.

BTW, for you New Englanders..  It's sunny and in the 90's down here.  And not raining.

Thanks Trish. 

We arrived a few hours ago.  We're kicking back on the dock having a few adult beverages. Man I need to sleep, but, my FIL is pretty cool.  He had some beers on ice and was waiting for us.  I can't let that opportunity go to waste.    The grill is going and he has some music playing. Man, this guy knows how to live.

More later or tomorrow. After getting some sleep.  Nah, 2 hours sleep in the back of the SUV in the past 48 hours is enough.  Right?  I promise a pic or two as soon as I can.
