Have we really been discussing the weather for over a year?   With so much of importance going on in the world...  All we have for an ongoing thread is the weather?

I guess the weather is better then nothing !

People may not remember exactly what you did , or what you said ~ but ~ they will always remember how you made them feel .

Pretty sad huh?   I fear the end is near around here.

I always enjoy this thread...it's something I can speak knowledgably about...and there are no arguments here.  It is not raining there....yes it is....not just cuz you say so...blah blah blah....ha ha ha.

Today in north central florida we will have a high of 68 and a low of 43.  Tomorrow supposedly 72 and 57.   I guess that gives me bragging rights.  I won't be doing that in July....

The citrus trees have lost their leaves from the record breaking cold spell we had a couple of weeks ago.  They are evergreen trees...but I'm told losing leaves is a good thing, makes it easier for them to survivie.  Hope so.

    Rainey,

I don't like the option of trying to get from A to B to C to back to A scenario of snowed 2 feet of snow, freezing rain or combination of sorts. But you know you will survive, you just "hunker down" in your place, take in "cabin fever" for few days and nothing to worry about. After the snow plows come, you'll get out like everyone else. Now those folks in Oklahoma and other states that had freezing rain, the world ani't going end. Those folks should think positively that it wasn't like in Quebec years ago. I don't recalled when this "event" happened but I know it was years ago. This "event" may have been 30 years ago. What "event" is this? Oh just freezing rain was going on for 20 days straight, that some people lost electric power up to 50 days, and that it was down to 20 degrees below zero too. We have it so wimpy, gravy, and gravytime winter weather in the United States. If you hate the cold, snow, and wind, just remember there's places on earth where's it been real bad.

Another storm is here, and it is massive.  On the radar right now, there is rain from Santa Maria to at least Riverside, and possibly further south.  The areas burned last year in the Station fire are getting massive mud and debris flows, burying cars and destroying homes.  In my area, we got a huge amount of rain (~1 inch per hour) between midnight and 3:30 this morning, and again from about 5 to 7 a.m.  Right now, it is fairly calm, but the radar shows an even larger cell around Santa Barbara that is charging toward LA, and eventually, San Bernardino County (where I live).  Basically, I am staying indoors (today's mail can wait) and cranking up the heater.
