SUPERTOOTH:Hello I'm going on 63 this month and have had CP since birth and have been blssed with pretty much with good health most of my life with good health. During the last six years I have had two operations becaise of a bith defect that have caused strtctures in the urinary tract. I have searched the internet that has found promise in stem cells that could add some years to my life. Really would like to make it to 70. Supertooth
Do you think you won't see 70 without stem cells or some other intervention? I'm 47 and had a butt load of surgeries as a kid. All orthopedic. Like you I have really good general health my whole life (not counting my hair line). Personally I am planning on a long life. Somewhere in the late 90's or better.
Granted some levels of CP are very serious and a person may not have much mobility. But most case can be countered with activity and exercise. I have a "friend" from high school. Her CP is less serious then mine, yet she claims she can't exercise or even work. I call BS on her everytime I see her. If she just turne off Judge Judy and got off her couch and went for a simple walk around the block once a day, her health and life would improve big time. OK. sorry about my little rant, but she really ticks me off.
