Disabled Politico:
I just blogged about a potential Vice Presidential candidate who is the new mother of a newborn with Down's Syndrome. Do you think she- and her beautiful baby boy- have a chance at the ticket and at Washington in 2009? Is America ready for a Vice President with a developmentally disabled baby? Will her strong anti-abortion/pro-life stance help John McCain in November, should he choose her as his running mate?
My "boxboy" at my local super market has Downs and he and I converse in ASL. He is very fluent! I really enjoy him and he always makes a point to be at my checkout so he can assist me to my car.
