Colours In Motion wheelchair company has been the forerunner in the entire industry to use edgy advertising to sell medical products. Their “edge,” not surprisingly, is sex. Sex being brought to mind using hella sexy models that is.

My favorite out of all of their models? Briana Walker, who’s used in the image for the site’s scolling main page (seen left). I love her! She’s a sweet California girl, she skydives, and she’s the current Overstock.com spokesmodel. You can learn more about her here

As you peruse the Colours In Motion site, check-out the “products” page so you can see all of the other models (about 8 were used I think). If you check-out the Razorblade chair, a super custom chair that costs more than a Kia sportswagon, you’ll see my sexy friend Teal Sherer, a Hollywood actress who most notably starred in Hot Springs. And oh yeah, she’s a paraplegic (just like Brianna) too. I interviewed Teal for an article in New Mobility a few months ago. She’s a doll.

And don’t worry ladies, and my beloved gay men, there’s some hot stud action to be found too. If you navigate your way to the “sports chairs” section, look at the Hammer chair, the “ultimate contact sports chair” (think Murderball). The guy they used to sell this chair could probably beat up most strapping, able-bodied, 18 year guys. THAT’S how muscular this guy is. I wonder if he takes steroids? Hey, who cares. I don’t judge people.

And last, and most certainly the funniest, go to the “Relations” area on the site. Here you will find, in all it’s glory, an image of a couple - mid-coitus - that goes with the page’s equally suggestive and AMESOME title, “Physically and mentally, we’re ready to commit. Let‘s go deeper.”

Alright, I’m down! Where do I sign-up?

i want to know what equipment works has a good maintenance record for the least money. her dancing is great! and realistic! though i couldn't do it. She is beautiful and i see why she is in media.. ........... but this- ................ when i see sex doing the sales i always wonder especially if the representation is unrealistic. This woman has been "placed" in an unnatural pose she and most could not get in and out of,including me.......... i think it's a disservice to the community, when the ads raise the level of expectation to far surpass reality.

I like the risks they take with marketing and I appreciate the fact they see that people with disabilities are sexual beings too....I do think they go a stretch too far on this statement related to one of their children's wheelchairs: The "Little Dipper" wheelchair can relieve any concerns your child might have and help them face life's little hurdles. Unfortunately, no wheelchair is going to relieve all of a child's concerns about growing up with a disability! I really like where they were going with it...the cartoons, the cool names, etc. but this lost me!

I see no reason that sexy models should not sell wheelchairs, they already sell everything else from cookers to cars.

and a message for those that will scream 'its not right, many of the sexy models are not disabled' well, the sexy models that sit of formular one cars don't drive then, just as the sexy models that advertises airlines doesn't fliy the plane.

    Bring it on, I say.
