Now, I can’t take credit for the awesome tips that you’re about to read (the fashion queen over at the
BudgetFashionista.com can be given your gratitude), but I couldn’t help but share these with you. I may be a woman with a disability, but I still love clothes. Can’t let this damned wheelchair ruin all the fun, I say!
FYI: I know that shopping (in-person) can be hard for a lot of you ladies w/ disabilities out there, so be sure to visit
Forever21.com. They even have a spectacular sale area called the
Daily 21 Specials. Where 21 items each day are marked down 20%, making it a fun and smart way to shop online.
So, a little about the chain Forever 21: Forever 21 - the cheapest of the cheap - is the place for women to shop if they’re on the hunt for trendy clothes, but don’t have a lot of money to spare. They sell everything from jeans to accessories to sexy shoes (which run at about $25/pair); and everything they sell is low-quality (you‘ve been forewarned).
I gotta say: Forever 21 is probably the cheapest trendy clothing store chain in existence. Also (and not surprisingly), their clothes will only last you about a season. Quantity reigns supreme at Forever 21, not quality. So yeah, now you know.
Despite the lower quality, a lot of us during this economic downturn could care less. Sometimes a woman just needs a new top to feel pretty, and she doesn’t want to feel guilty about it. If this is you, Forever 21 (or a thrift store works too), is the place for you.
And the good news about Forever 21: They DO have the propensity to sell some really cute clothes. You just need to know how to shop them. Here are some of my favorite tips from BudgetFashionista.com:
- Avoid shopping at Forever 21 on the weekends. They get super crowded, clothes are strewn everywhere and misplaced, and the lines to check-out can be up to a 45 minute wait. Instead, go during the week if possible.
- Take note of Forever 21’s return policy: To put it bluntly, it sucks. You have only 30 days and you can’t even officially return it. The store only allows exchanges, and after 30 days you‘re screwed. Also, makeup and jewelry are all final sale items.
- On Forever21.com, you can
Shop by Trend or
Shop by Outfit, which helps if you happen to be one of those people who gets easily frustrated when trying to put an outfit together.
- And last but not least, not all the clothes at Forever 21 are ultra-trendy. If you’re looking for a more relaxed “Urban Outfitters” look, check-out their
Heritage 1981 line. So cute!
