I think cuttlefish are just about the coolest sea critters ever. The combination of cuteness and intelligence is just irresistible! I'll share a few of the reasons I adore cuttlefish, and I bet by the end you'll find these tentacley cuties just as fascinating as I do.

1. They're not "morning people."

 2. They're curious.

 3. Sleeping baby cuttlefish: Adorable newborn, or most adorable newborn ever?

4. Great taste in pyjamas.

5. Long, dangly tentacles are cute, in a terrifying sort of way.

6. They're unabashedly flamboyant.

Flamboyant cuttlefish. No, seriously, that's what they're called.

7. Tentacley sign language.

8. They look sort of like tiny, aquatic UFOs.

9. They have the most oddly shaped skeletons ever.

10. They're pretty in pink pairs...

11. ....Beautiful in blue....

13. They let their tentacles do the walking.

14. Sometimes they imitate giraffes.

15. Cool undersea bachelor pads.

Look at this goddamn cuttlefish. He's so cool. He's just hanging out in his cave. He doesn't even care what you think. He's that cool.

16. Built-in tuning forks/divining rods.

17. As venomous as the Blue-Ringed Octopus. But still adorable.

 18. Jet propulsion.

20. Moping cuttlefish look an awful lot like certain Elder Gods. I don't recommend upsetting them.

Well done Saydrah. I've seen cuttlefish on a menu. Don't expect to ever eat them. I have a new awe & respect for them. I also appreciate the divers who took those pics!

Blame Saydrah for this. She started it with " 20 Reasons I Love Hedgehogs " a few months ago

You know what the poorest of the big cats is? Cheetahs, because cheetahs never prosper. Bad jokes aside

Cuttle fish are vicious, disgusting creatures. The Portugeuse absolutely refuse to eat any fish caught that day in a fish net that catches a cuttlefish. Ancient mariners said they came out a grizzly hole in Satan's inner thigh at the dawn of time, the only living creature not created by our Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord.
