 1. The Bay, Toronto

The four giant screens outside this department store displayed the blue screen of death for a four-day period in November, 2007.

2. Times Square, New York, NY:

Two different views of the BSOD in Times Square, at the corner of 42nd St. and 8th Ave., Nov. 11th, 2004.

3. Vista Demo BSODs:

I love to see Microsoft marketing fail miserably (see: Bill and Seinfeld), and blue-screened Vista demo PCs fill me with schadenfreude. These two computers seem to be advertising Vista's ability to crash. Remember, it's not a bug, it's a feature.

4. Le ad fail, il est epic:

This BSOD en Francais appeared on Rue la Defense in Paris in August of 2006.

5. Mystery BSOD:

I wasn't able to find any context for this BSOD, which has been floating around the web for a long time... but dude, look at that news ticker, it's ancient!

6. Welcome to the United States:

Sadly, this might actually be more informative than asking a question of an actual United States Customs agent.

7. All Aboard the BSOD Train:

The subway seems to be a BSOD hotbed; this is just one of many images of crashed billboards in New York subway stations.

8. Balls of Fail:

This weird digital ping-pong table is embarrassing its creators at a tech expo, but I actually think it looks pretty cool this way.

 9. Digital Representation of Current US Bank Status:

Is this an ATM from Fannie or Freddie?

10. Cockpit Fail:

Boy, I sure feel secure flying, with the TSA looking out for me! I wonder if they're going to one of these airports?

 11. This Top Ten List Goes to Eleven!

I know I only promised 10 BSODs, but I don't think anyone really minds seeing this one....

Wow, I didn't realize that many corporate devices are running windows...guess I'll think twice before I go to an ATM!

At least some of these look fake. For instance Vista demo #2 - it's not a Vista BSOD.

Nice try, but half of these aren't even running Windows. You can't just take a random FAIL screen and pretend it's Windows. It actually has to BE Windows. Still, it was entertaining. #11 especially.
