“ I had been riding my bicycle home from a part time Drink Waiters job which I was doing three nights per week to get some extra money to get our first house.
Someone, unknown to this day, hit me from behind and left me for dead.
I woke up three weeks later in the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

My right leg had been badly damaged plus I had a decent thump on the back of my head that caused me not to wake up properly in my right mind for three weeks. During that time I did not know who or where I was or my Wife and Children and any others of my family who were visiting me.

Fortunately for me, their excellent Medical team that looked after me did a great job of repairing the damage to my ankle and my femur so that I could be mobile again.
Also during this time I can remember suffering the pain , humiliation and frustrations of trying to propel myself around in a normal WHEELCHAIR.

Some of you who have been, or are at present In that situation, know exactly what I mean. The mind does strange things when the body is lacking it’s full capabilities and I am sure that the SEED WAS SOWN IN MY MIND that one day I would Invent a solution and make the WHEELCHAIR easier to use.

This I have achieved, with the help of some of my cycling mates I have designed my ‘Shelli Hand Pedal Wheelchair’.

The concept of using hand pedals to drive each back wheel independently by means of a chain and freewheel sprockets eliminates all the hard work of the normal method of propulsion of the standard wheelchair.
This Hand pedaling action causes far less strain on SHOULDERS AND UPPER ARMS.
Each back wheel has a back pedal hub brake fitted which allows you easy braking and east steering. If you need to turn LEFT you just back pedal slightly with your left hand and forward pedal with your right hand, and the opposite applies to turn RIGHT. After a while you will be able to turn a full circle almost on the spot.

My SHELLI HAND PEDAL WHEELCHAIR is available in sizes to suit children through to adults, gear ratios can be lowered or increased to suit the fitness and ability of the owner.
ALL OUR WHEELCHAIRS ARE CUSTOM BUILT TO ORDER.

If we all work together we can be of assistance to each other.

in my movements during the early months.
This mean't that I had more time to read and learn more about how I could help my recovery and get b ack to riding my bike and being a better husband and father.

I had picked up paper back called 'Super Learning ' by 'Sheila Ostrander & Lynn Schroeder ' which really got through to me and introduced me to the Power of Meditation and Relaxation.

As a result I made a web search search and found the'Holosync Method ' website.
http://www.centerpointe.com

I purchased the first stage CD's and haven't looked back.

Have any of you tried ' Meditation '???
Please advise.
