National Physical Therapy Month
During October, the American Physical Therapy Association is celebrating National Physical Therapy Month to raise awareness about physical therapists and physical therapist assistants and the importance of their jobs.

Since millions of people each year require the skills of physical therapists to help with rehabilitation, National Physical Therapy Month is a great time to honor these professionals and the work they do for all of us. Learn more about physical therapists or find a physical therapist in your area.

National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) recognizes the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Physical or sexual assault or any abusive behavior that results in physical or psychological trauma (or death) by an intimate partner or someone in the household can be considered domestic violence.

While domestic violence can happen to anyone, 85 percent of domestic violence victims are women, according to NCADV.  Learn more about domestic violence facts and resources available to help you or someone you know dealing with this issue.
