About Me
I became a T5/6 paralegic when I was 16 years old from a ski racing accident. I had been an upandcoming Jr. ski racer and my dream was to compete in The Olympics. My accident changed that dream, but only slightly. I re-learned to ski, adaptive ski, and became a member of the US Disabled Ski Team. I was fortunate to compete in 2 Paralympic Games, 1998 and 2002, where I won 4 medals, 3 silver and 1 bronze.
I retired from ski racing after 2002, and have been traveling, adventuring and speaking to organizations ever since.
In 2005/06 my husband and I took a year and traveled around the world to developing countries volunteering with organizations and teaching adaptive sports to people with disabilities.
This Christmas, my husband and I will start a lifelong adventure when we become new parents. This is surely to be our biggest and most rewarding adventure yet!!
