About Me

I have been disabled for over 20 years with systemic sclerosis, also known as an internal variety of sceroderma, causing full bodied myofascial hardening and inflammation, resulting in paralyzed intestines, COPD with oxygen use, spasticity of muscles and extreme pain, among other symptoms. I spent 10 years in a hospital bed with home care, graduated to a wheelchair through PT, massage, meditation, will power, hope, prayer, and can now move on my feet just a bit. I had a stint in hospice when my intestines turned my body so toxic I developed cancer which metasticized to many areas of my body but I didn't pass away, and am now, over 15 years later, cancer free. I have used almost entirely "alternative" medicine because once I got cancer, I decided traditional medicine was just not going to cure me. I am a fun loving person, living with my Emmy award winning husband of 25 years, devoted to service to others, and always open to any good time at hand. A disability advodate, artist and commentator, my goal is to contribute when possible, and live life with as much joy in the moment as can be found. Additional blogs can be found in The Spiriual Sanctuary Group, where I am a co-moderator.
