About Me

I am a single parent to two boys on opposite ends of the autism spectrum, ages 12 and 13. My youngest is nonverbal and uses a go talk 9+ communication device and picture cards. I run a yahoo group called MakingPECSCards where we share resources and mail out round robin packages across the country and into Canada. I homeschool my older son with California Virtual Academy and am a home health care worker for my younger son with the State of CA. I am a member of Commmunity Advisory Committee with LAUSD and an active parent who helps other families learn about special ed laws and regulations.
