About Me

Hi, My name is Akiji and I am from Hawaii. I now live in Lakewood CO. I have worked in IT for a major computer firm a number of years, and now I work for Disaboom. I am a T4 paraplegic and I have been in a wheelchair for 6 years now. I have a service dog named Merlin. We do everything together including going to work, shopping, and many other things. He never leaves my side. Merlin even knows how to clean up after himself. When I give him the command to clean, he will pick up his toys and drop them into his toy box. If I can only teach him to cook dinner. Merlin graduated with honors from Support Dogs Inc in St Louis. He has made an major difference in my life. I try to live life to the fullest and I wont let my changes in my life hold me back. I am a people person and I love to make new friends. I do play wheelchair tennis whenever I can, in case anyone wants a match. I also have a BA degree in Professional Photography and my favorite subjects are people, nature, and of course Merlin.
