About Me
"Shima" is a Navajo word meaning "Mother". I use it as a way to honor all women, as well as the biggest and most important one of all, Mother Earth. (Recycle!)
I have a severe form of Degenerative Disc Disease as well as RA. Surgeries to attempt to slow the degeneration and rupured discs starting 20 years ago only made it worse, so now I don't let them near me with scapels. One surgery was to fuse and plate discs in my neck, so yeah, it's all through my spine. In my next life, I'd like to come back as a jelly fish. ;-)
I have two grown children who I am very very proud of, a Golden Retriever and I share space with two cats.
