I live in Ohio, but during our 11 pm news tonight .. I saw in Florida a quadraplegic was literally DUMPED out of his chair from a police officer!!

GOSH it wasn't like this guy like was FIGHTING him or anything!!

HE WAS LITERALLY DUMPED!!

He was chareged with a traffic violation .. the guy COULDN'T defend himself if we WANTED TO!!

and all he got was a FRICKEN apology!!

he fell FACE FIRST on their fricken hard floor!!

HE SHOULD SUE THEM@@

we should all rally behind him and the guy shoud SUE!!!!

Apparently, the police department spokesman said it was no big deal.  Then the videotape was broadcast nationally.  So, the the cop who did it was suspended (without pay?) while it is investigated.  (I guess the cop would not have been suspended and the incident would not be investigated if there had not been a videotape and it had not been broadcast.  I can hardly wait to hear how my eyes are fooling me and the cop was justified!)

YEAH I'D LIKE TO KNOW what kind of traffic violation it was!!

he was in a manual chair .. he cldn't move his body AT ALL!!

what the heck happened?  was he in the streets?  did they ticket him for not being on a sidewalk?  it didn't seem like he could push that manual chair!!

GOODNESS that's AWFUL!!

AND Aall he gets is a stupid apology!!

when the cops were brutaling rodney king the blacks rallied around him .. we need to rally around this guy!!

HOW AWFUL!!

This was a horrible incident that is now garnering national attention. We here at Disaboom were in disbelief from what we saw. I wrote about it  here in my blog. We are also delving further into this matter and reaching out to those involved to get the full story. Stay tuned.

They said it was for a traffic violation He seemed real clean cut also. One of them supposedly laughed at him i wonder if they are still getting paid

hey guys, i also think that this is unacceptable and he needs our support. what can we all do as a community to back him? write letters? make phone calls? we should figure something out ..

Obviously, flooding these morons with letters from us demanding the jerk be fired will not do any good.  (They have already indicated how they feel about us in the disabled community.  They will just throw our letters in the trash after they get a good laugh.)

They need to be investigated by someone who wields the power to give them the smackdown.  I am thinking a federal lawsuit  after an investigation by the Dept of Justice.  Is there something in the ADA that was violated?  Civil Rights?  Assault?  Can someone with a law degree comment on this???
