I am preparing a short speech, for my next Toastmasters assignment, on tips for the general public when they meet someone who uses AAC, is deaf/hard of hearing, or has speech that is difficult to understand.

Please tell me your method of communication, and a couple of your top do's and don't's that you wish friends, family, strangers and/or casual acquaintances knew.
