Some great info there Ollie, I dont consider myself a 'non smoker' and i'm guessing if a major event happenned such as a close death, accident, sevire shock etc i'd light up, weather i'd continue lighting up i cant say.  All i can say is at the moment i'm going strong and winning and the battle but wont consider the war won for another 8 months at least

    Scipilot

Stressful events can lead people to go back to smoking.

That info sheet states certain smokers smoke for negative  reasons. They use smoking to deal with stress, anger ,fatigue ,etc.

It suggests that finding new ways to cope with stress, etc. might be very helpful.Perhaps a physician can help.

Nicotine gum rather than smoking might help a person through a stressful situation.Just remember, if you do have  a relapse, that`s about par for the course. Each failure can bring you closer to success, if you learn from it and keep on trying.

Just take it one day at a time and try to stay strong. Asking for and accepting a little help from your friends often brings amazing results. Cool                                             ollie

I came, I saw, I didn`t get out of there unscathed.

SCIpilot.......please forgive me for classifying you.....as an X-smoker ! I didn't realize that you have to have quit for at least a year before you can have that title ! So.....I was premature in my applause ! But.......you are doing great.........we'll cheer you on for the whole year if need be. I KNOW you can do it ! One day at a time......just like you're doing. Congrats on getting this far. Keep up the good work !........peace and love.......Norma
