A few weeks ago I was out hiking in Boulder, CO at Chautauqua Park.  I was fortunate enough to meet Vijay on the outing and spent some time hanging out and talking with him after my hike.  He's an incredibly cool guy and one of the most progressive athletes I've met.  He spends his winters on the slopes and his summers mountain biking and rock climbing.  He'll be blogging here on Disaboom once he gets back from his latest trip (rock climbing at Red River Gorge, KY).  He emailed the pictures below, which should give you a sense of his taste for adventure.

 

I'm looking forward to hearing about more of his adventures once he's back in town...  :)

    hi poindexter, great pictures here, another sport i didn't know we had.. rock climbing.hi vijay..

    we'll be looking for you at the game sunday, or will you be the one hiding from the camera because of the tears when the sox win the series? if we lose, you can get me back, i'm tuff! have a great time, bring back pictures and stories ok? tell the red sox i said hi from massachusettes.

    Yeah, Vijay is a damn good guy. I've been climbing with him a few times, to include that trip to Red River Gorge for Petzl Roctrip/Roctoberfest.

    We both climb with a brand new nonprofit called Paradox Sports. Its a great organization, ran by some pretty bad ass folks, to include some really inspirational gimps.
