“The Urban Weekend”
This is the first entry in my new, Styling with LegaWear blog series, which is a partnership I’m doing with LegaWear (the Swedish adapted clothing company). It will be an ongoing stream of style entries, with a new outfit added each month. Each blog will feature a garment from LegaWear, and how it can be worked used with a fabulous outfit idea. Each outfit will be seasonal, and I promise they’ll be easy-to-recreate (I‘ll try my best) and fashion-forward. Onward now to - The Urban Weekend look.
This chic summery look is using a black women’s suit jacket from LegaWear (which is custom-made for each customer. Design yours here). This is my first custom suit jacket, well custom anything really (bridesmaid dresses don't count) and it feels so luxe, not to mention it fitting like a glove. The arm length is long enough to suit my lanky arms (I'm 5'10), and the jacket is long enough in the waist for someone sitting down (not too long in the back; a key feature of LegaWear suit jackets).
I’m wearing the jacket with a bubble dress from Forever 21 in Marigold, along with a straw hat from Target, with a white leather flower pin attached (from New York & Co.). To finish the look, I added a pair of black suede cork wedge open-tool heels from Payless (bare legs for summer), and a pair of white shades. Roll up the sleeves of the jacket for a casual weekend look, and you’ve got a perfectly fashionable urban weekend look with a sexy masculine edge. Click here or a larger version of my outfit above.
