I love beautiful men. Other than Muenster cheese and KFC (Double Down FTW!), there’s nothing that gets me more. If I could move them, I’d even say they made me weak in the knees. It’s an addiction my friends. Don’t judge.
So when I cam across Sam Morris‘ MySpace page not too long ago, a paraplegic singer-songwriter from Santa Monica, California, I was in awe. His shaggy dishwater blonde surfer boy hair, cool shades, guitar in hand….he just looked the part of the sexy rock star, minus the wheelchair of course (because nobody expects a rocker to be in a wheelchair. I do; but I’m weird like that).
Sam’s injury story is a typical one - passenger in a car, the driver was intoxicated, boom, crash, broken back. And for Sam, losing the ability to move his legs was incredibly hard being that he was HUGE into bicycling, skiing, snowboarding, and hiking. He even was the kind of guy who’s lead multi-state bicycle rides. Moving his legs was crucial for almost everything that made him happy. I know how that is. I was a dancer, cheerleader, swimmer, loved rollerblading. After my injury, I was all like, “What now?”

Sam turned to music to find something to be passionate about again. After being on bed rest for over 7 months between 2002 and 2004, Sam wrote a slew of songs, which are on his debut CD Chasing Miracles. He describes his album as “gritty, passionate, idealist, and intense.” Many of the songs reflect on his healing process after his injury, which I’m sure many of you reading can relate to.
So there you have it. Now you know about the sexy Sam Morris. You can check him out, and oogle his photo gallery, and his site Sam Morris.
