CORTEZ, COLORADO XRRA SEASON FINAL

Well I was hoping to have good news this week about my series final that took place last week in Cortez, Colorado but I don’t. It started off awesome and turned into a disaster.

At the start of the race, I was sitting one spot out from qualifying for the national finals, that will take place in Jellico, Tennessee in September. So we ran our first 2 runs and they went awesome. I had really fast times and finished them both strong. My third run I was really fast and finished that run but when I crossed the finish line they informed me that I had broke a banner some where on the course that I didn’t know about. When you do that they add 2 minutes to your score. So now a good score went to a not so good score.

Now my last run I need to make a really good time to stay in the running. But I’m pissed because of the banner thing from my earlier run. So I take off the line and I’m about half way through and I come off the big ledge wrong and I roll my buggy. Now I’m really pissed cause I know I’m out of the running. To make a long story short, I ended up finishing really bad in the competition which totally bumped me from having any chance to qualify for nationals and now I have a bunch of work to do to put my buggy back together from all of the damage I did.

Oh well. Bottom line, we still had a heck of a good time. Maybe next year we’ll make it. Check out the link from pirate 4x4. It has some of the highlights from the race and it shows me rolling my rig. Pretty cool video. http://www.pirate4x4.com/tv/11.php

Until next week, always “PUSH THE LIMITS” because life’s too short not to………...
