As if I didn't have enough to worry about being a special education teacher. Serriously!

Most of the time it isn't about my disability with my little group of students but today I feel I need to post this for those who understand.

I no longer qualify for any disability benifits (yay it's a miracle, I can walk! lol! I wish!) I make about $100 over the "limit" :(  I got a 9 cent raise... wow.

My physical condition has not changed one bit in 3 years but because I choose to work some hours, I mean I am no where near what a regular teacher makes. (I am very much part time) I am living with my parents, I can not afford to live independently right now. They feel I no longer qualify. Okay I can live with that I guess. What is bugging me is Medicare. If I am no longer recieving SSI or SS will I get kicked off of Medicare? I am worried because I can not get health benifits through my employer because I do not meet the required 20 hours per week. I have spastic diplegia CP, not like it is going to go away any time soon. It also limits my ability to be employed in the retail field in order to make extra income because most places want you to be able to stand, lift, ect.....  I can not stand for very long peroids of time.

Why do I feel like I am being punished for working?

I need some type of health coverage... I drive to work. I mean I like having something because I could get hurt going to work or something although so far I am staying healthy.

Stressed.
