That is absolutely horrid to think that people could be that cruel. The audacity that some people have is just rediculous. First off, if they are volunteering to help save lives of other people and help prevent that happening to anyone else, then they deserve the utmost respect and compassion for their heartache, suffering, and pain that they are going through themselves. All their suffering is due to some moron deciding he/or she is above the law and decided to drink and then drive. That moron if he or she is still alive, owes his life to these people as do so many others who these two may have saved just by showing up. The mere thought of someone suffering so much yet continuing to be so willing to help others is awe inspiring. It's a shame that more people aren't as empathetic, caring, and just plain loving for others. I think every person should strive to be such a person. I thank this family from the bottom of my heart.

That anybody should suffer discrimination for whatever reason in this day and age is appalling. Whether it is for the way you look, the color of your skin, or your sexual preference; it makes no difference, it is wrong. I pray that the judge penalizes both the organizations and the persons who committed this crime. Thank you Rose, for the wonderful work that you and your family have committed yourselves to. I'm sorry that you suffered this abuse. I feel more sorry for the ugly people who committed this crime against you, there is no help for them.

Our society on the whole doesn't like to look at people that are different or be reminded that terrible things happen. If you have ever seen a poster child, you can bet they screened several applicants before finding just the right one, one that looks disabled but not too disabled. I think MADD owes this couple a public apology.

This is ridiculous! They should not have been asked to leave! MADD should not have dropped them from their volunteer list either! MADD should have been standing up for this couple! Obviously from this poor woman's appearance you can tell that she has a disability...people should realize this and accept it, not become offended by it and want to "hide" or "ignore" it. This poor woman is like this because of some dumb kid who made a bad choice and people need to see this and become informed of what bad choices can do and who they affect! Very disappointed in the MADD organization and with the State Fair employees!

I think it wrong to evict a person because of her disability. I want other drunk drivers to see what they can cause I am proud they took a stand for rightness mothers aginst drunk driving should be proud to have some people up for what drunk have done to people and all the money and loss of life they have caused I am proud that her husband stood up with her and helped his wife and did not put her in a nursing home Pastor Richard & Gloria Armstrong

The way she looks ! ? Go to any, any VA hospital and you'll see disabled, I mean awful looking. Do not turn away these people gave their lives/bodies so you can have your pretty fair. Yet do not turn away, more are coming everyday from the Mideast wars and the streets of auto accidents. Idaho State Fair, I'd boycott if I were out there. Idaho,,, my 21st Century Scientific Bounder wheelchair comes from Idaho,,,, so do those lumpy potatoes ,,,,,,,,,, Idaho ?

This is one of the most appalling stories I have ever read. Here these people are volunteering their time to try to help people understand the consequences of this behavior, and they are asked to leave AND abandoned by MADD at the same time. So MADD wants our money and time, but only if you are good looking???? Amazing

My does the truth really hurt people.As a highway patrolman I took pleasure locking up drunks. Guess the truth hurts.MADD should be a shamed of its self as well as the promotors of the Idaho Start Fair. Being a New York City Cop I thought New York had the prize in being over sensative , guess Idaho not to far behind.What next someone complain about the cows crapping at the farm animal exhibit.(Oh by the way I"m a L1 para struck by a motorist)
